Investigation report:

01-12-2012

Arrived at location did circle of protection lead by Charlie from paranormal ghost searchers, set up glass divination with staff from location taking part in it. Most of investigation was centred on upstsirs bedroom where it was reported that alot of activity has been happening. Ghostbox set up with speakers several names were heard including Daniel and Ellen.Helen the word slut was heard a couple of times and a male entity seemed to dislike Neil and Charlie.

After several threats by the male entity we found out that two entities were the reason for the bad affects on the room’s owner. The first male claimed to have been having an affair with a female (a former landlord’s wife) at the location over some time during this time he had painted a portrait of her that is still at the location and is kept in the boiler room. The entity wanted it put back on the wall of the bedroom were the female had slept (that is now the room at the centre of the haunting).

However the second entity was the husband of the female who the first spirit claimed to have been having the affair with and caught the pair in the bedroom together. He wanted the painting out of the room and left in the boiler room he was reasonable for caused events when the painting was taken out of the boiler room the two were fighting as they had done in life over the painting when the landlady was killed by accident due to a push by one of the men.

They were using the energy of the room owner to keep fighting with the owner’s permission of the landlord a smug stick cleansing was carried out in the room and around the living area to clear the area of any negative energy at the location and the investigation was bought to a close.

15-09-2012.

Investigation began at midnightwith circle of protection held by team, tools set up around the location. One video camera did not work in pub no reson could be found for this, and camera worked ok the following day. Glass divanation done in landlord and barstaff also joined in no contact was made, so team split in two half moving to bar area lead by Neil and Caroline to hold a ghostbox experiment, the other half stayed in lounge area lead by Emma to again try contact board.

Some names came through on the ghost box including the name William. The contact board was moved to the bar area (near to were some had reported seeing a female entity stand in) and lead by Caroline and Jake. contact was made with a female entity who gave the name Dorthory, also contact was made with a male entity who gave the letters E.D on the board he claimed to be a former landlord and was unaware he was dead, he like the currant landlord and his staff and was happy with the work they had done at the location. Dorothy again made contact and stated she was aged 67yrs when she passed over due to an accident she had at the location where she had tripped over a loose board at the top of the stairs and fell down the stairs. E.D made contact again and gave his name as Edd and claimed to Dorthory's husband he also stated that a painting in the bolier room of the location was of dorthory and she was 36yrs old in the painting, he also blamed himself for his wife's accident as she had asked him to fix the floor before she fell, he felt he need forgiving from the currant landlord about the accident before before he could move on.  Auto writing experiment held by team member Emma were the name john can be clearly seen on a papper after looked at along with bthe word hale.

Sence held in louge area with all people on investigation a lound bang was heard like the sound of a glass been banged hard on a surface of a table. Team leader did walk around to try to find a reson for this sound and found no reson.

investigation ended at 3am.

Our findings

 Ellen/Hellen

None of these names name we have found have had a connection with the site but without a surname or date of been at the location we cannot confirm if this person ever lived at the site

James

This name was heard on the ghostbox but no last name was given the only james we have found at this time is a former landlord named James (as this person still is alive we have witheld his surname, out of respect for him and his famliey) however this male is still alive and living in the area of the location.

Ann

This name was heard by one of our investigatiors near the end of the bar and also was heard on the ghostbox when played back by an investigator. Research has found 2 females with the name Ann the first a landlords wife who's name was Anne Dean she was 39 when she lived at the location with her husband Richard Dean, their 11 year old son also named Richard and a live in servant aged 13yrs named Mary Evans.

The 2nd Ann was named Ann Deakin and she was the landlady of the location for just one year from 1974-1975.

William

This name was heard on the ghostbox and we have found two former landlords who's name were William . 1st a  William A. Morr who was landlord from 1970-1991. and 2nd  in 1889-1894 a William Matthews  without a surname we cannot confirm who was the william who spoke to the team.

Our findings (part 2)

The haunted painting

Local stories told by former landlords at the location have said if the above painting was moved from the room it's now in paranormal events happen at the location. We saw no proof of this as the landlord was unwilling to move the paint for us to witness any events if this did happen.

Ghostbox

Using the ghostbox we made contact with two entites who claimed to be the cause of the trouble in the room.  One was a Formerlandlord and the other a painter who'd had an affair with the landlords wife and he had caught them in the bedroom at the location.

Autowritting experiment

The name john was given through a autowriting experiment as yet research has not found this person however their are 5 landlords with the name john that have held the tenancy at the location

Paranormal veiw:

This was an entity who was trying to tell us who he was by moving the hand of our investigator over the papper.

non paranormal veiw:

John is one of the most common names in the uk so we'd be more suprised if their was not some connection with a john at the site.

Team veiws:

Caroline Cox

Well I felt it is but not by the people they say it is. I felt a hot breeze as burning in the lad’s room and I did see a shadow figure over the end of the bar by the door that was a black mass.”

" I was standing by the kichen up stairs my hart began racing and I had a feeling that some one was  their. as the night went on I did the contact board where we got some activaty. It was a good night in all we had names come through and we even had an old landlady come through, and help her husband to move over to be reunited. so in all I think the place is haunted but  not in negatve energy x"

Neil sinnett

“Good night, for me with most of the investigation centring on the bedroom upstairs were we had been asked to move an entity location as it was effecting the person whose room it was. 1st time for me to do a smudging (have seen them done before but never taken part in one) at a location so as an investigator very interesting night for me”

"still going through items from the investigation, but the night went well had some things that can't be explained by me such as when a glass was banged on a table towards the end of invest and all people in the building where accounted for and none were near it. Look forward to next invest their in a few months"

conclusion:

"good location with 3 active entity's who were connected in life through an event at the location, this haunting should now calm down after our visit as the entity's got what they had to say heard threw us"

Devils/Dunns Bridge

  • Dowsing rods.
  • Voice recorder.
Investigation report:

Arivved on site did walk around when near the far end of location Neil reported hearing a male voice whisper "come on then" retuning to the bridge a dowsing rod experiment was done and contact was made with an entity who told us through questions he was known as the devil. When further questioned he said his name was Dunn and that he died on the bridge we where stood on. We asked if he knew of any other entities at the site and he told us of children who played at the site and of a mallicous entity who walked the site but was mainly based at the nearby former engine house.

We asked the astral being if he knew of a female entity who is said to walk the location and he told us he was unaware of this lady. We then held a ghostbox experiment with sevrail names heard as we did experiment (full tape will be lisened back at a later date) photographs and E.M.F readings where taken with a small spike on the bridge area and some possable orbs seen on photographs. Investigation ended at midnight.

Our findings

E.M.F readings

These may have spiked due to an underground cable however we dont beleve this to be case here as their was no cables under the bridge we where walking on. As such this is unexplained by us at the moment.

Dowsing rods

Information gained using this method has been proven to be right by ouir researchincluding detailos about the dudley devil. However Neil (our team leader) who was doing experiment knew a small bit about the locations histroy

Ghostbox Experiment

Harp player was a statment heard on the ghost box when it was played back after the investigation and through resesrch into the area a local well known man called nerka use to live in Neatherton and often played his jew harp at bumblehole locks the area around this location.

Our findings (part 2):

Dudley Devil

Research has shown during the 1840's their was a man who was known as the dudley devil or devil Dunn (today he'd be seen as a medium), his real name was Elijah Theophilus Dunn he worked as a finder of lost items speaker to the dead and a fourtune teller. he was very famous when he alive working for the famous as well as the people of the black country (an area of the west midlands) one of his most famous clients was a boxer named The Tipton slasher he came to him and he told of his finale defeat many years in the future.

Elijah was bourn in 1791 in Neatherton during his teens he became a finder of lost items by claiming to talk to the dead and they told him were the items where.  A dudley school master once asked what the future would be like in 200 hundred years time and he said

"so quickly in time wull they travel that there'll be no ere or there, they'll pass by the moon in a bullet and live on co'd cloud and 'ot air."

it's said half of dudley was afarid of  Dunn while the other half loved him he once said that everything he spoke would come true and he even told of his own death and its date. When the date came and on the night he was still alive he went to one of his favorite spots (bumblehole neatherton) and hanged himself, so once again the devil was right about the future. Dunn died aged 60yrs and the spot he hanged himself is now called devils/Dunns bridage. Mr dunn is buried in Neaterton churchyard dudley, west midlands.

good location with a long past contact was made throught dowsing rodds with a male entity which i found intresting and will be good to see what the research founds out about this person. Is it haunted not sure as will return again for another invest their.

 Caroline cox

This is a good location that I found fasonating  as I have a connection with canals. I would love to do more their and to find out what was at the old pump house.

conclusion:
Intresting site with a long past is it haunted we saw no proof from a science veiw that this location was haunted as all we encounted could be explained as as naturals or trick of the light.

St Michale's churchyard

(Brieley Hill, West Midlands)

Investigation held on:

tools used:

  • Thermometre (infared).
  • Dowsing rods.
  • Voice recorder.
Investigation report:

Walkes around location held a dowsing rod experiment and where led to a area where a female entity told us via questions through the rods that she was unhappy at the way the area was been looked after and the mess it was in she then led us to a grave. After been asked if this was her grave she said yes via the rods  and the grave was of a female named Martha Westwood.  team split into to two with Caroline doing the lower half of the location and Neil holding a ghostbox experiment in the top half some names were given via the ghostbox  and a young female voice was heard to say " the bear walking around" also near a bench at the site a male voice voice stated he'd died here of a drink related event.

Caroline came back and stated she felt the name michale had a connection to the site and he was from Canada. Later on a young male made contact with team (via dowsing rods) and said his name was michale through questions  on the dowsing rods we gained the information he died of a water related illness.

Our findings (bear baiting)

the following describes a bear baiting event held by Henry the 8th and Robert Dudey  in 1575

"Thursday, the fourteenth of July, and the sixth day of her Majesty’s coming, a great sort of bandogs [mastiff] were then tied in the outer court and thirteen bears in the inner . . .

Well, the bears were brought forth into the court, the dogs set to them, to argue the points even face to face. They had learned counsel also on both parts, what may they be counted partial that are retained but to one side? I know not. Very fierce, both one and the other, and eager in argument. If the dog in pleading would pluck the bear by the throat, the bear with traverse would claw him again by the scalp, confess and a list, but avoid it could not that was bound to the bar, and his counsel told him that it could be to him no policy in pleading.

Therefore, with fending & proving, with plucking and tugging, scratching and biting, by plain tooth and nail on one side and the other, such expense of blood and leather [skin] was there between them, as a months licking (I think) will not recover, and yet remain as far out as ever they were.

It was a sport very pleasant, of these beasts, to see the bear with his pink eyes leering after his enemies approach, the nimbleness and wayt [wait] of the dog to take his advantage, and the force and experience of the bear again to avoid the assaults. If he were bitten in one place, how he would pinch in another to get free, that if he were taken once, then what shift, with biting, with clawing, with roaring, tossing and tumbling, he would work to wind himself free from them. And when he was loose, to shake his ears twice or thrice with the blood and the slather about his physiognomy, was a matter of goodly relief."

Our findings:

Martha Westwood

The team was lead to a grave of the above lady via our dowsing rods she then stated she was not happy with the state of a friends grave and wanted the mess cleaned up. the team found alot about this female including she maybe related to a famous local football player (Ray Westwood) from the 1930's. We have kept some infomation back in repect of any surving famley who may still live in the area.

Michale

this entity told us via the dowsing rods he was 14yrs old when he passed over and he died of collar and illness got from water. He also stated his parants were buried in Canada.

With no surname we cannot confirm if this child was ever layed to rest in this curchyard.

Bear baiting

During a ghostbox expierment a female voice said " the bear walking around" research has shown that in the 1900's one of the most popular sports vwas a cruel sport known as bear or bull baiting were a bear or bull was tied to a stake in a area of town and the public set their dogs onto it  until their dogs had been killed or the bear/ bull had died.

In 1830 a bear ben baited broke free when its stake came out of the soft ground @ an area then called Marl pit in bierley hill this area backs onto the churchyard and is now a carpark its recorded that spectors ran and a town offical was almost killed in the event before the bear was recaught in moor street.

Team veiws:

Neil sinnett:

"still going through e.v.p's but found some intresting things already i feel the site needs to be done at least one more time with a medium as their some questions that need to be asked to some of the entities at the location"

Caroline Cox:

"this was a very intresting night for me. I was on the dowsing rods and I was  pulled to an unmarked gravestone where I got a feeling were we need to go their again and see what we come up with. Can't wait to do it again."

conclusion:
good location that raised some more questions that need to be ansawed with another investigation their. some of the active entities l seem to be angry  that many of the graves were unkept or run down. and wanted us to point this out for them.

Drakelow Tunnels

(formely Drakelow underground)

(Kinver, Staffordshire)

Investigation held on

Date: 06-04-2012

Time:9pm-1am

Teams present: Astral search uK & Paranormal ghost searchers.

Moonphase:new moon.

Solar activity:Quiet.

Weather: clear & cold

Investigators presents

  • Neil Sinnett (Astral search uK).
  • Caroline Cox (Astral search uK).
  • Spookie (P.G.S).
  • Charlie (P.G.S).

tools used

  • E.M.F metre.
  • Movement alarms.
  • Thermometre (infared).
  • Dowsing rods.
  • Voice recorder.
Investigation report:

Arrived at location and after a breif talk by hosts split into two teams with us holding a ghostbox expirment (holding this expirment were Neil, Carolin, spookie (p.g.s) and Lynn (p.g.s) and rest of p.g.s where holding a table tipping expirment. some names were given including a male entity who called himself Dwayne, he claimed he was killed in a rock fall in the past at the event and told us of some child entities at the location.

Moving to the main tunnels a senace was held in a room off the tunnel some of the team reported seeing a dark shadow in the room and the medium also said that a male entity was walking around the seance circle taps and bangs were heard and a steep drop in temperature was recourded by by both teams. One of P.G.S reported  she felt like crying while she was in the circle. leaving the circle we went back into main tunnel where Tanya(spookie) said she felt a dark entity near her. Two team members ( Charlie & Neil)  moved away from rest after seeing a dark shadow move in the distance as they followed it both heard a male voice say "come on then"

Our findings:

The rock fall

This event was told to us via an entity on the ghostbox the team has heard of an event where part of the locations roof did fall in trapping some of the workers. However this has not been confirmed by the research team yet, the same with the name of the entity (dwayne) we have as yet not found any written evidance of this person been here. Also the host of the night had not heard this name in connetion with an entity their before.

Our findings (part 2):

Investigator hit by unseen force

Caroline was hit by unseen force that seemed to mark her face with a red patch this happened in a dark room full of people and was photographed by team.

Paranormal veiw:

That an useen entity after an unheard warning hit investigator with enough force to mark her face.

Non paranormal veiw:

The room was dark with alot of people also team was provoking an entity into doing something this may have caused investigator to panic and catch her face (by accident) in the dark this may have felt like an entity doing this

 Unexplained odors at location

A smell simlair to T.C.P was smelt by myself in a small room off the one of the main tunnels I was told later that the and confirmed through research that the location had been used as a hospital during the 2nd world war this may explain the smell that came and went.

Non paranormal veiw:

Its possable the location may have been cleaned before event was held and the smell was a cleaner used by staff at the location. This could explain also why the smell seemed to go after a short time as doors where open and the natural draft at the location would clear the smell.

Paranormal veiw:

Some investigators (myself included) veiw that smells, images and feelings from the past can be recorded into the fabric (walls, floors, roof ect..) of a location if its made of certain natural substances. At certain times and conditions they maybe veiwed or sensed by a person or persons that are senstive to paranormal events.

Shadow people

Alot of dark shadows about the height of a person where reported over the investigation that appeared to vanish when given full attenion.

Paranormal veiw:

Not alot is known about so called shadow people it maybe just an entity or more than one been seen by team in the form of a dark show or as folklore say a race of paranormal beings who live just out of our plane of life.

Non paranormal veiw:

The location only source of light where candles these produce long shadows on the stone walls of the location and maybe the reson for some of the so called shadow people sightings during the night.

Team veiws:

Neil Sinnett

"good location with some intresting results from night found Caroline been struck by unseen hand most intresting part of night. Also good to work with P.G.S again they once again showed what a good team they are."

Caroline Cox

" wow I had a most event full night there I got slapt on the cheek by some unknown hand. That was my first time working with P.G.S and had a rely good night with them"

conclusion:
Intersting location with some as yet unexplained events happing to members at the site over all we belive the the site maybe haunted by events from the past.

Investigation report:

arriving at location we felt no need for circle of protection as the site is on consercrated ground walking around church we started investigation at the far end of the churchyard were contact was made (using dowsing rods) with a female who seemed to be confused to the fact that she had passed over. ghostbox was switched on with sevrail names being heard with one Jim been spoke of more than once. moving back towards the church team split into two with the guests forming one group and team members another, a black shadow was seen crossing the path in front of team group guests felt like they were never alone as they walked down.

Stood by church ghostbox was again switched on and sevrail names where heard walking towards an open area that local folklore states was used as a burial pit/mass grave when the plague came to the area as we walked around we heard sevrail voices on the ghostbox telling us to go from the site and one that that swore at us. so we used this time to take a break and leave the site for a short time.

Our findings:

l Black death victims pit

Huge pits were dug and used as mass graves to bury plague victims many without their last rights given and just dumped in them. As the undertakers and family had as little contact with the dead as they could for fear of getting the plague themselves. These pits are mostly unmarked around the country. We can find no evidence for or against such a pit at the location however the midlands like the rest of the uk had a very high death rate due to plague.

Our findings part 2:Plague(a.k.a the black death)

History:

The first outbreak of plague swept across England in 1348-49. It seems to have travelled across the south in bubonic form during the summer months of 1348, before mutating into the even more frightening pneumonic form with the onset of winter. It hit London in September 1348, and spread into East Anglia all along the coast early during the new year. By spring 1349, it was ravaging Wales and the Midlands, and by late summer, it had made the leap across the Irish Sea and had penetrated the north. The Scots were quick to take advantage of their English neighbours' discomfort, raiding Durham in 1349. Whether they caught the plague by this action, or whether it found its way north via other means, it was taking its revenge on Scotland by 1350.

A witness from the time write this about the spread of plague:

'Sometimes it came by road, passing from village to village, sometimes by river, as in the East Midlands, or by ship, from the Low Countries or from other infected areas. On the vills of the bishop of Worcester's estates in the West Midlands, they (the death rates) ranged between 19 per cent of manorial tenants at Hartlebury and Hanbury to no less than 80 per cent at Aston.... It is very difficult for us to imagine the impact of plague on these small rural communities, where a village might have no more than 400 or 500 inhabitants. Few settlements were totally depopulated, but in most others whole families must have been wiped out, and few can have been spared some loss, since the plague killed indiscriminately, striking at rich and poor alike.'

Good investigation here 2nd time for me to visit the location and found the entities were a lot more nasty in their nature with us been told to leave on more than one occasion. But very strongly when we were in an area said by local folklore to be the spot were many of worsdley plaugh victims were layed to rest in a huge mass grave (pit). Good location with a lot been heard on the ghostbox

                                                                                                                                                         Caroline cox

This was a good invest we had someone playing hide and sick with us and and when I wos on the rods a girl came through. We took a brek then went back on to the site and that's when we got thretened to live on the ghost box when we was by the gates I got struck by something on my ear all in all it was a very good night and would love to go back.

conclusion:

Intresing location with some active entities at the site one of witch did not want us in a certain area of the location
