Investigation report

Arrived at location investigation began with circle of protection lead by Hayley items set up & E.M.F sweep done around  pub no spikes caught. ghost box experiment held outside location in area that used to be the town pool used for all the water for the town. the name William came through photographs taken showed nothing more than a mist glass divination held in eating area of the pub, trigger object ( a small  electronic teddy, as some reports of a child spirit at the location) set up and a candle experiment held with contact been made with an entity claiming to be a white witch. Because of the contact made with the witch we an E.V.P session was held during this time a female voice voice stated she was holding a negative energy back at the location and she now felt the strain of doing this and need help.

Lee,Neil and location manger Adam moved to the store room after a short break and held a ghost box session were contact was made with an entity who claimed to have committed a murder near the location and still wanted to kill

Our Findings

Unexplained sounds

After a ghost box experiment was held the team left a recorded on a table in the upstairs function room were several sounds were recorded and remain unexplained by us.

Loud knocking

Several knocking sounds were caught by recorder. 3 over a period of about 3 minutes

Research has stated an investigator should be aware to 3 knocks as this could be a warning of demon presents at a  location with the 3 knocks representing the 3 sides of the unholy triangle

The lee family

During the ghost box session the name lee was given the following information was found about an

important family in Tudor times who owned a house on the site were the pub now stands. their

surname was Lee.

Sir Henry Lee KG (1533 – 12 February 1611), of Ditchley, was Queen's Champion and Master of the

Armoury under Queen Elizabeth I of England.

Lee became Queen Elizabeth I’s champion in 1570 and was appointed Master of the Armoury in

1580, an office which he held until his death. As Queen's Champion, Lee devised the Accession Day

tilts held annually on 17 November, the most important Elizabethan court festival from the 1580s.

He retired as Queen's Champion in 1590, and the poems "His Golden Locks" by George Peele and

"Time's Eldest Son" were set to music by John Dowland and performed at the lavish retirement

pageant. He was made a Knight of the Order of the Garter in 1597. He was a Member (MP) of the

Parliament of England for Buckinghamshire in 1558, 1559, 1571 and 1572.

Sir Henry, like most courtiers of the day, had a portrait painted by a leading artist. In Lee's picture,

his sleeves are decorated with armillary spheres, a symbol of wisdom and also his device as queen's

champion. His sleeves are also decorated with lovers knots which, combined with the armillary

spheres can be seen to represent his love for learning (the wisdom of the armillary spheres) and for

the Queen (his symbol as her champion).

Lee also wears several rings tied to his arm, and has his finger through a third ring around his neck.

This may represent his marriages, and the third ring, which is not quite on his finger, may represent

his relationship with Anne Vavasour.

Investigation report

Our findings.

1498

this was a date heard by one of our investigators as been important our research found that Prioress Alice Wood retired in 1498. She had a large impact on the priory when she had lived and worked their

Edward

During a ghost box session the name Edward was heard our research found that after the dissolution of the priory’s in the uk by Henry the 8th in 1537 the location came into the hands of the Skeffington family with the death of her husband in 1540 Joan Skeffington remarried Edward Gifford . He stated his job was an interim for the site.

It is this person/entity we believe spoke to the team via the ghost box.

Paranormal view:

A male person/entity made contact with the team via the ghost box a person that can be traced through records as having a connection to the location.

Non paranormal view:

The ghost box is just a radio and the answers were no more than coincidence and the words were randomly spoke

Investigation report

Arrived at the location setup camp and equipment. Then did a walk around after walk ended a ghost-box experiment was held and several names were heard including the name Owen also a female voice was heard but she gave no name and told us she was watching over us and to be aware of a male entity at the site. we then split with Darren and Lee staying with the ghost-box and Neil in another part of location with dowsing rods.

While doing dowsing an energy was asked to show were it was in the ruined room and Neil was led to a staircase, were a shadow seemed to move away from Neil up the stair. Neil returned to rest of team Lee reported not getting anything with ghost-box Darren then went and held a lone E.v.P experiment (in the North-west gatehouse) were a single class A capture was made this was not heard until later while Darren was in the gatehouse Lee saw a shadow move above Darren, when Darren rejoined team he reported not feeling alone and a E.M.F sweep was done a spike was recorded near the gatehouse

Our findings

E.v.p

Darren took a recorder and walked around the northwest gatehouse by himself were he asked sevrail questions out allowed before coming back to the team after about 30 minutes. A class A capture was made their (this will be posted on here soon).

The capture was as follows:

Darren: is their anyone who wants to speak to me?

E.v.P :NO! (male voice).

Ghostbox

The ghost box was set up and recorded a female voice no name was given but she stated she would look after the team and to aware of a male entity at the location. With no first or last name given we cannot say or prove who this entity was or how she was connected to the location.

Paranormal veiw:

The ghostbox did voice a female entity at the location also a male who stated he was the soul of the skeleton that was found at the location.

Non paranormal veiw:

The ghostbox is just random words that the brain picks out as ansawers to questions asked and the person do's not lisen to the rest of the words heard from radio stations and other transmissions.

(above is the skeleton found in the castle wall along with some cannon balls found also found at the castle)

Dowsing rods (the guard still on duty)

During an dowsing expirement contact was made with a male entity who claimed his body had been found in a wall. He stated via questions that he had been an English guard on duty during the english civil war and was killed while he defened the castle, When he had been hit in the face by a musket shot, however he stated that his death came about afetr his throat was cut.. He told us he was still doing his job and often walked along the main path that connetted the two main gatehouses and had been seen.

Some of our investigators had been to a local mueseum were a skeleton had been found in wall during some work to restore part of the castle in 2010. Nothing is known about the body but its been dated from the civil war period and the skull do's have a crack in the jaw, were it's been stated maybe from a musket ball shot or a kick from a horse.

Paranormal veiw:

That an entity made contact with the team via the rods and wanted us to tell his story and all to know his veiws.

Non paranormal veiw:

The team have stated that they spent some time at a local museum were a body of a skeleton was found and the conditions it was found in. This could be used to make this story of an entity up using the rods or be the source of autosugesstion for the investigator using the rods.

team veiw

Neil Sinnett

"good location with a long past I believe the site haunted by a male entity who wanted us to tell his story about how he passed over and wanted us to explain why his earth remains were now in a local museum. hopefully we explained this to him and he can now rest better"

Our findings (part 2)

The name Owen was heard during a ghost box experiment owain(welsh version of owen) that was connected to the site:

No name is so frequently invoked on Wales as that of Owain Glyndwr (c. 1349-1416). He was of aristocratic stock and had a conventional upbringing, part of it in England of all places. His blue blood furthered his claim as Prince of Wales, being directly descended from the princes of Powys and Cyfeiliog, and as a result of his status, he learned English, studied in London and became a loyal, and distinguished, soldier of the English king, before returning to Wales and marrying.

Glyndwr was a member of the dynasty of northern Powys and, on his mother's side, descended from that of Deheubarth in the south. He held the lordships of Glyn Dyfrdwy and Cynllaith Owain near the Dee directly of the king by Welsh Barony.  He married the daughter of Sir David Hanmer, a distinguished lawyer who had served under Edward III and Richard II. He had served in the wars and retinues of Henry of Lancaster and the earl of Arundel, and served with distinction in the Scottish campaign of 1385.

In 1404, Owain Glyndwr seized the crumbling fortress, but, within a few years, the English regained possession for the last time. After 1408, Aberystwyth Castle lost its strategic value to the monarchy, and only minor repairs were attempted. In 1649, the castle became a victim of Oliver Cromwell's ruthless policy of slighting after theEnglish Civil War, during which the garrison sided with the king, Charles I.pierment the following information was found about a male with the n

Conclusion

Good location that we believed to be haunted by both visitors and a least one grounded entity who wanted us to tell people his story about his life and death.
